Well. THAT was a year.

There were so many good things that happened this year - like my Dys-FUN-ctional art show, teaching some Neurodoodle classes and creature workshops, going to Bar Harbor and Ogunquit a few times, creating the TeddyBear comics and the AlphaTangle Too! book, and making some new friends. Some of the bad stuff got worse... like anxiety and panic attacks, financial and house issues, and having to rehome my service dog, Elsa Bear. I still miss her. I guess the good and bad kind of balanced each other out. Which leaves me... where? Just exhausted and desperate for some HOPE. It's been hard to think about anything, never mind write about it, so my blog got a bit neglected.

I'll try to do better in 2026 - although it is already cranking up the anxiety with the possibility of me needing to sell my house in April unless I can find a way to make some serious income, and soon. I've been asked to teach some more classes and take part in some mixed media shows - that's very exciting! But wanting to resurrect my glass studio (it's been dormant for 19 years), and needing to clean out my enormous house in 3 months, are not physically possible to do at the same time. This would be a great time for Western Avenue Studios to move me off the never-ending waitlist and into a huge loft! Just saying.

So while I over-obsess about what I'm going to do with my life and my home and my studio... I have been drawing a lot of Neurodoodles! Here are a few of the ones I have drawn this week:

This is what I'm planning to teach this year, and possibly, work on a book. Let me know what you think! And here's wishing you a more peaceful, sane, and creative new year.
