It feels like just yesterday that I packed up and moved to Concord! I can't believe it was actually back in May. Most of this year has been spent packing and unpacking and now I'm trying to empty out the storage unit too. Would you believe me if I said I am really sick of that part? The good news is that I got all the studio stuff unpacked and set up in my new space inside the Velvet Moose Ice Cream Shop building (the old Hardware Store building), across the street from the Library, in Warner, NH. Yes, now that I live in Concord, I commute back to Warner for work. Ironic. But a few years ago, while living in Warner, I had a studio at the Concord Community Art Center so there is a sense of balance.

The new space is really nice and has a sink for washing paint brushes. I was able to fit almost all my supplies for all the different things I could be working on - I have no idea what I should hold on to or get rid of. I'm thinking there will need to be a yART Sale once I decide what to focus on. I'd love to get back to working on my graphic novels/comics and Childrens books. The only thing I regret about the space is the lack of natural light. Although not having large windows or direct access to the street means fewer distractions! And I keep reminding myself that the point is to have a working Studio, not a "store".

Here are some more pictures, yes, it does kind of look like a store...:

What am I working on right now?

6x6 panels for an upcoming show at Kimball Jenkins School of Art (where I have also been teaching a few classes). I've also been teaching at Two Villages Art Society. Most of the art I have been doing (and teaching) is Neurodoodling. These panels combine Neurodoodling with comic art.

I'm hoping to have some planned, and some spontaneous, Open Studios, and I'm happy to make appointments too if you'll be in the area sometime and like to see the studio. This Sunday, November 1st, I'll be in the studio from 2-4pm and would love to talk with you. The ice cream shop is also closing for the season and offering $1 scoops of ice cream, so there's another reason to come hang out!
