It feels like I have had no other purpose in my life lately, except to pack and purge. I am looking forward to starting my new adventure... the next chapter... starting fresh - whatever you'd like to call it. It's all new and kind of terrifying but I really hope it includes lots of art and some new friends.

Friday, the giant moving truck came and took all my stuff away.

Even with all the purging, the new place is only a third of the size of my house, the movers told me I'd need a storage unit as well. Half the truck was filled with books and artwork! I'm determined NOT to overload the new condo - I don't want to live in a storage unit.

My studio looks so big and it echoes! This is the room I will miss the most. It's also the reason I bought this house 30+ years ago. It was an old barn and I imagined it exactly the way it looks in this picture.

The new place doesn't have a studio space, alas, but I am planning on setting up a studio in Warner in September, in the Velvet Moose Building.

Tomorrow I am going to move into a hotel in Concord and pretend I'm on vacation. I need a clean slate before all the days of signing papers and then the move-in day (Thursday!). Today I am feeling very nostalgic and teary and really want to get out of here before I change my mind!

(I'm also going to miss my garden.)

Even my Finch App seems to know that I'm moving out...

Starting fresh, somewhere new... very scary and very exciting!
